In a recent article, Democratic Vice Presidential presumtive nominee Joe Biden agreed to divest himself of campaign contributions from Tim Balducci, Steve Patterson, Dickie Scruggs and Zack Scruggs. Specifically, Biden gave back $7500.

However, a quick look at Joe Biden's donors as listed on Huffington Post shows that Biden may not have divested himself of enough money to get rid of the taint. There certainly seems to be a disproportionate number of contributions from the greater Ripley, Booneville, New Albany area. There were several contributions from Patterson Balducci attorneys that were not divested as well as contributions from family members that were not divested.

This data was compiled from the 2007 3rd quarter Federal Election Commission reports.

The MS Republican Party is not only seeing the information, THEY ARE PROVIDING THE INFORMATION.  How do you think he gets the information so quickly and has so much time to devote to a blog?

Posted by Stiff Pigeon on 08-27-2008 at 01:41 PM [link]

Well, since I’m a member of the Republican Party, you could parlay that into an attempt.

But, JustMe provided the link to opensecrets and I simply did a search. Adjust your tinfoil hat, it’s not blocking enough.

Posted by JDBerry on 08-27-2008 at 01:59 PM [link]

Since when did search engines become affiliated with a political party?  Saw Huffington Post in the original article above and thought I would let yall know about two other search engines.

“How do you think he gets the information so quickly” Dude--these are search engines.  Type it, click, its there.  Bless your heart, the speed of any internet search engine isn’t tied to whether you are a democrat, republican, green party, independent, or any other political party.

JDB--his posts are always smart, relevant, and informative.

Well, whoever is putting it up, it’s a job well done.  And JD, if your a member of the party, maybe you know somebody to call and make sure this info gets out when the media is in Oxford.  I can see it now - free slices of sweet potato pie for every journalist who will pick up the Biden/Balducci/Patterson fact sheet from the booth!

Yum. Sweet potato pie. Much better than ear-wigs.
