Steven Palazzo Statement on Health Care Debacle

(Biloxi) – As Democrat Leadership in the House of Representatives continues “debate” over Health Care Reform, Steven Palazzo issued the following statement:

“I am shocked and disappointed that Rep. Taylor’s BFF, Nancy Pelosi, is continuing to find ways to force nationalized health care through Congress without a real up or down vote.”

The most recent strategy is to allow the House to pass a “self executing” rule that would apparently give Democrats the ability to say they never voted for Health Care.

“Last time I checked, we didn’t send our “leaders” to Congress so that they would be able to shy away from the tough votes and tough decisions. South Mississippi needs a leader in Congress who will take charge and recruit other Members to vote against more government control.”

“Quite frankly, the excuse that Democrats are using that the Republicans used this tactic in the past is repulsive. The use of this practice is wrong regardless of who employs it.”

“It is ironic that on the day we celebrate St. Patrick, who saved the Irish by chasing snakes away, we have Gene’s BFF Pelosi whose actions will doom South Mississippi by chasing jobs out of the district.”

“As your Congressman, I will not allow these shenanigans to continue. I recognize that South Mississippi deserves real leadership and a Leader that Puts Mississippi First not Nancy Pelosi and Barack Obama.”

I’m shocked at Palaxxo’s standing up for private companies to take my land via eminent domain.

Palaxxo doesn’t want Pelosi to ‘force’ national healthcare down our throats but he wants to force you off your land so he can give it to a private developer and stand there at the ribbon cutting ceremony with cameras flashing talking about how he saved Mississippi’s economy.

The life of the American citizen does not have enough CONTROL from the superior minds in government. Palaxxo had the right idea the Gov should be able to take our land to give to a buisness who wants your land.

Freedom is DANGEROUS.
Liberty can be LETHAL.
Privacy is for TERRORISTS.

Palaxxo wants Mississippi to loose our freedom to own our land so he voted against the legislation twice.  But he was born in Mississippi.

Citizens should be WATCHED, MONITORED, and CONTROLLED in order to protect them from themselves.  Palaxxo voted for us to get OTC meds through an Expensive DR visit only, based on no studies to support that it kept drug dealers from making meth.

If America is to remain great, we MUST eliminate freedom.  Vote Palaxxo for fewer freedoms now land rights and politics as usual.

All of our decisions must be made FOR us by the superior minds in government Obama, Pelosi, Tanning Taylor and the silent Palaxxo.  Palaxxo remains silent in this health care battle except for noise to the news.  That is not productive to help Mississippians but it is free campaigning. Self interests above Mississippi for Mr Palaxxo.

This is the ONLY way to be certain of our safety. Let Palaxxo and the Government control us please.

Looks like the Tegerdine cult forgot to take their meds.

I’m sure Gene will say he puts Mississippi first.  Talk is cheap.  What matters is action.  Joe Tegerdine has built a campaign for nearly a year to gather support for a platform of ideas that matter to south Mississippi, he hasn’t just shown up at the last moment to kick dirt on Gene.  Such knee-jerk reactions are not what we need here.  We need a representative who is ready and prepared to assume the critical job of representing district 4 for us in Washington; we need Joe Tegerdine!

I like Palazzo but he’s somewhat hypocritical.  Where was this disdain for government healthcare when he voted to force a prescription for OTC meds?

I presume Gene Taylor is voting against the Health Care bill. However, as I’ve already said about Childress, its time to do more.  Taylor needs to start campaigning against the bill by speaking up.  Voting against it isn’t enough.

Gene T has come down on the right side of the Obamacare issue, but he has voted with Pelosi 80% of the time and I will not vote for him again.

Steven P seems like a fine man and I thank him for his service to our country. I can say the same about John McCain too, but I hope he loses his primary to Hayworth in AZ. Steve jumped into this race in MS-04 at the last minute and wants you to swoon because he is from MS. I’d rather he explain how his eminent domain and OTC votes help preserve liberty for Mississippians.

My favorite choice in a representative this year is Joe Tegerdine. He is not a career politician and has a platform I can fully support. He got into this race when the odds were poor because he wants to change how things are done in DC.

It feels like 2007 all over again.  The new names pop in and seem to only have an opinion on one topic...which ironically enough seems to be a particular candidate’s response or release relating to the issue du jour.  I’m not too sure the folks here are the one’s you need to be campaigning to.  Most that frequent this site are savy and well opinionated.  That being said...I agree with Ship Island.  That’s why no matter who replaces him...someone has to replace him.  The coast electorate has evolved into a bastion of conservatism...yet they still have a democrat who voted for Pelosi representing them.  Since he eased into the seat Larkin Smith should have sat in, he has accomplished very little in Washington.  He had a hand in the promotion of the bill giving the troops mine-fortified humvee’s, which I applaud him for, but at the end of the day, he voted for Nancy Pelosi for speaker of the house.  She is on the opposite end of just about everything we stand for here in Mississippi.  I’m not gung-ho Republican, but I could never stand up and declare I was in the party of Pelosi.  He’s got to go...which ever Republican gets the chance to take him on...it’s going to take a lot of work and a lot of money...but this is the year.

...and to the Repulican that does win the primary, you might want to call in the big guns and see what that old lady on the park bench who has trouble with name pronunciation is up to.

I admire SP for pushing the state sovereignty bill
email from Steven Palaxxo but he did support the eminent domain that was so unpopular in MS and then on his Candidate Vetting Questionnaire he answered NO to Question #87. I would like to admonish him for misrepresenting the people and keep him close to home.

100% of Joe Tegerdine’s campaign money comes from Mississippi. Gene Talor, not so much. I trust Joe will represent Mississippi in DC. Joe has my vote.
