Schadenfreude Hour: Mississippi Democrats Implode

Franks used his influence as chairman to pressure Scott to resign and threatened to sue the school district. Scott pre-empted all that by filing suit first, admitting to the affair, and accusing Franks, the local Democratic Party, and the state party of interference with his job, defamation, extortion, etc.

The whole of the state party is now in flames.

It’s like the Trojan War with no real heros, just the rest of us rooting for injuries. I’m sure the adults will step in soon, but the damage is done for this election season.

Delightful.

"Delightful” to YP.  Typical and expected for the rest of us. Very little exists to “implode,” quite FRANKly (pun unintended).

Regardless, the condition and forecast for the State of Mississippi is and will remain deplorable. We couldn’t even make the final cut for RACE TO THE TOP in education, thus losing MILLIONS of federal dollars in aide for education. The slap in the face came from the Institute for Educational Reform which, in essence, said that Mississippi’s track record sucks and the “achievement gap” proves it.

In other words. the federal goverment is not inclined to THROW GOOD MONEY AFTER BAD.

I challenge all of YP and everyone else to take a serious look at what is going on in our STATE and LOCAL goverments.

I, for one, am really wondering why I am spending my tax dollars on a system of FAILURE.... a system that thumbs its nose at accountability and sucks up our tax dollars to perpetuate the status quo.

Geez, am I a closet Republican?
