64 Bids Received in Pearl River County Tax-Forfeited Property Auction
Pearl River County, Miss.—Mississippi’s first online tax-forfeited property auction garnered fifty-nine (59) online bids and five (5) mailed bids on parcels in Pearl River County. Secretary of State Delbert Hosemann launched the online platform in July 2016 to make it easier for those interested to bid on parcels forfeited to the State for nonpayment of ad valorem taxes.
The total value of bids received in the Pearl River County auction is $11,902.50. Winning bidders were notified between Friday, September 2, 2016, and Tuesday, September 6, 2016, and have fifteen (15) days to submit payment.
Current tax-forfeited property auctions hosted by the Secretary of State’s Office include 379 parcels in Jackson valued at $7.4 Million and 100 parcels in Waveland valued at $800,000.
