File this #billoftheday as least likely to ever see the light of the day.

Regardless, Rep. Omeria Scott has introduced HB739 that would require anyone selling rifle or pistol ammunition to

keep a record of all sales of such cartridges sold, showing the description of the kind and caliber of cartridges so sold, the name, address and driver's license or social security number of the purchaser, and the description of and the quantity of cartridges and date of sale. This record shall be open to public inspection at any time to persons desiring to see it. Any dealer who violates this section shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and, upon conviction, shall be fined not less than One Hundred Dollars ($100.00) nor more than One Thousand Dollars ($1,000.00).

Probably not very ironically, it's been referred to Andy Gipson's Jud B committee where it will suffer certain death. But it would be fun to be in the committee when the bill is read. Or not.

Congrats Rep. Omeria Scott! You've authored our #msleg . . . #billoftheday.
