Davis to appear in Hinds County Chancery today
SOUTHAVEN — Southaven Mayor Greg Davis is suing to stop State Auditor Stacey Pickering from garnishing his salary to recover at least $73,000 in taxpayer funds Pickering says Davis still owes.

Davis will appear today in a Hinds County Chancery court as he seeks a ruling on the paycheck issue.

A full hearing on the paycheck issue and counterclaim is slated for next Thursday.

Pickering returned to the Southaven treasury $96,000 raised by supporters of Davis to help defray at least $170,000 in questionable expenditures by Davis.
