Minor Gets Three Hours with Dying Wife

Bill Minor, the father of convicted attorney and Democratic fundraiser Paul Minor, told the Jackson Free Press that his son only has three hours to visit his dying wife in Baton Rouge today.

“He told me last night that he was only given three hours and that he would have to be escorted by someone from the Pensacola prison,” Minor said. “I heard that he was cleared to get three days, but the local U.S. Attorney’s office intervened to reduce it to only three hours.”

...

“He shouldn’t be locked up in the first place. He should be out on bond. No public funds were stolen, nobody was hurt, and he was right and correct under state law.”

I guess Paul Minor grew up to meet his dad’s standards.

Where does all this personal hatred come from? A father stands up for his son after (what all sides would concede was) a controversial trial, and your retort is a personal attack? Jesus Christ, people.

The MSM and alt+media are so incredibly in the tank for their “Oz” behind the green curtain (Bill Minor), they’ll write anything.

Think about how little sense this makes.

First, someone remind me if my political compass is off, but don’t we have a new presidente and new AG?  Are they now in on the conspiracy against Paul Minor?

Second, when has anyone ever heard of a “local US Attorneys” office holding any sway whatsoever on the treatment of a prisoner?  It doesn’t happen.  Hell, even federal judges cannot tell BOP where to send folks.  They can only suggest or request.

Just because Bill Minor “heard” that the local US Attorneys office intervened, he of course provides no proof of that.  Of course, the JFP dutifully prints it as if it were gospel.  I guess fact checking only matters when they care about the facts.

I expect the follow on the moonbatmedia types at Raw Story and Legal Bow-wow to pile on shortly with their “through the looking glass” interpretations of this.  They have toed the line regularly as far as the well oiled, narcissistic Minor media machine.

Nobody was hurt except for those citizens depending on a fair and just legal system.  But then Minor considers everyone else beneath him; hence we are all inconsequential nobodies.  To him nobody that counted was hurt.

Paul Minor is convicted on the theory of participation with a felon who was far into the ditch in his contempt for the view for his partners and friends.  Notice that it was Dickie Scruggs who actually made a thorough cleaning up as the small fish in the pond where he swam.  Minor, if you know him, was not the head of the school, and was certainly not in the pond where he could take on Scruggs, who, as we now know him, is a man who is less than grateful for his assistance in the practice of deceit.

Scruggs has been open-minded about his direction of being a maverick, and there are many examples where Minor is not.

Dickie scruggs has lots of nose guys that open holes for him.  It’s clear now.  As has been obvious in Mississippi Ex Rel, even the A.G. had earned bragging rights with Scruggs.  Minor was not “made”, and where politics is favorable because of connections, Dickie was “in” and Minor was not.

It’s not that Minor was right or wrong, but he was never prosecuted on the same level or with the same vigor as was Paul Minor.  He was offed by his friend.

Is this what is now a solid issue in all of Dickie Scruggs’ “friendships”, a rule of loyalty?  Even Dickie’s secretary, who has always been more of a devoted, highly paid power-house, ran a show to keep the heat off Dickie’s most loyal friends. Check it out now.

Minor wasn’t in the same league with a brother-in-law, or mighty Mike Moore, who continues his support of Dickie, but not Minor, and why is that?  We see how Scruggs works.  We know how he has worked.

Paul Minor was not “made” in Mississippi - and there’s not any bad boys in Jackson.  We know that.  Lots of difference between how Dickie was treated in Oxford.  Personally, it is highly likely that Minor wasn’t safe with his own counsel, because Dickie’s that strong.  And here’s nothing but what is the whole truth, nothing but the truth - Minor’s prosecution and condemnation comes from Dickie’s word.  And what’s that worth?  In Mississippi, where political machines grind on - a syndicatate gaming machine - somebody gets caught, the pond swirls, another gets caught, it’s just another part of gaming - catch and release.  it’s the system.  It’s Mississippi.  With Orwell’s idiom not too far behind, Mississippi never changes.  The father is right.

Laughing, where are the comments of personal hatred?

Paul Minor, as did Scruggs, in his testimony, admitted to having broken the state campaign finance statutes but since this was a federal trial those did not come into play.  And I assume that Minor is “family” as well, so the state legal eagles did nothing about it.  Minor and Scruggs contended that their funds were campaign contributions and that they also gave $5k each to several of their subordinates to contribute.  They said that they would give more if Diaz could find names to attribute the funds to on the reports.  Daddy may say that son never broke the law, but 12 jurors said differently.  And if put before jurors in the state courts, they would say the same.

The point that “Daddy” is somehow unaware of how Mississippi works is foolish.  He earned his dues.  The truth of this tale is that Minor carried water for Dickie who carried water for Moore.  It’s unlikely that Dickie had no hands to carry water for his brother-in-law as well.  Again, the father is right.

Let’s go back to the beginning.  (It seems the truth never is enough when it comes to those who are bleeding heart liberals regarding Minor). 1. A bank examiner discovered the “peculiar loans” and went to the FBI. 2. Jury trial of Diaz, Teal, Whitfield and Minor only concludes Diaz not guilty. 3. The Feds decided to re-try judges Whitfield & Teal and Minor . 4. Minor misbehaves....Minor warned by the judge not to be a public drunk, etc. 5. Minor continues to be a public drunk. 6. Minor then is tagged with an ankle bracelet. 7.Minor misbehaved....moved out of his restricted area. 8. Minor has total disregard for the judge’s admonishment and thus was ordered to prison awaiting his new trial. 9.  Minor convicted, along with Teal and Whitfield.  Now, what don’t you understand?
And while most of us, (even those of us who suffered personally[we are legion] from the mis-conduct of Minor prior to his conviction) feel sorry, very sorry that Sylvia is terminally ill we have to ask this question:  How many other convicted felons get to be with their wives, mothers, daughters, fathers when they are gravely ill?  You liberals act like there is something special about Minor...that he should get special treatment even after he thumbed his nose at the legal system and violated the rules of the court more than once!!!!! It is Minor who is and has always been his own worst enemy?  And how can an educuated person not grasp that there is a world of difference between the conduct of Minor and that of Seigleman?  It is regretful that all of this mis-placed anger the liberals are bringing to this issue will eventually taint Minor himself.  If I were his family and friends I would remain silent and hope for the best in regards to an appeal.  Shouting foul only adds fuel, if you get my message. The BOP folks can read.  The Probation and Parole folks can read too.
But we will all be surprised if after Scruggs-daddy gets finished that Minor is not in a whole bigger heap of trouble.  After all it was Minor who suggested Scruggs was guilty too...and that in itself is a back-handed confession!

Pat on the back for a chatty report, but even the notion that there’s a serious breach comparable to the Scruggs data feed, inclusive of those who are embedded in the ‘system’, the need for clarity concerning Minor’s drinking problem (getting caught) is a story within a story.  The fact is simple, and it defys the reasoning of what Minor is and is not.  He’s not a Titan.  He doesn’t run in the same stream with the high priests of Jackson.  Even Rush lost touch with terms like liberal.  It’s a nasty bite off the reality apple.  Not sure what liberal is in Mississippi. Is it a useful term now? The world changes.  Liberal?  It’s too ripe to eat.  Also, argumentation with moon-pie notions such as “educated person” is DOA.
