Zach Scruggs' penalty harsher than anticipated

After the hearing, Mike Moore said of Zach Scruggs, "His father is involved in something. What's he going to do? Turn his father in?"

This is just unreal.  Moore keeps saying that, on one hand, Zach didn’t know.  Then he says things like, Zach’s “remorseful” or

What’s he going to do? Turn his father in?”

Well, which is it?  He either didn’t know what was going on or he did.  If he didn’t know, you should have gone to trial.  If he did know (and he did) SHUT THE HELL UP, Mike, and stop saying that stuff.  How could he “turn his father in” if he didn’t know?

You are obviously not earning any points with the Court or the media.

Mike Moore used to be a hell of a trial lawyer, but I think this one has to prove the old adage, “Skills unused, are skills losed.”

He obviously is off his game here.  And, it comes across to me, that maybe Judge Biggers thinks that Moore is covering his own ass by gettin involved in this case at all (you would think he would rather be reading about it from Alaska).  He obviously thinks there are people Dickie could roll on, but won’t.

Zac would have been much better off with an attorney picked at random from the phone book.
