One of the YP editorial staff received a robocall this evening from 866-849-3243 on behalf of MSSC candidate Jim Kitchens. The young man in the voiceover also urged support for Barack Obama. We are hoping to get a recording and get this out there.

As the google search linked above has shown, this outfit is a pretty notorious group. There have been a rash of complaints on calls made from that number.

We will put more out there if we have it.

Huh. Unless the Democrats have endorsed Kitchens, then I’m a little suspicious about possibled Federal Election Commission rule violations. Now if they endorsed Kitchens, then it is likely OK. But I didn’t hear about an endorsement.

Again. This ain’t our call. This is the other side targeting white, Republican households and trying to play divisive politics.

Of course, I’m sure with all his integrity, Jim Smith will step up really soon and denounce these calls just like he did the push polling that restarted last week. And the way he did those mail outs that distorted the truth about a 14-year-old boy who was persecuted.

Oh. Wait. He never has.

They will continue to try and use race to divide people.

The same type phone calls have been going out in the southern district in support of Diaz.  One recording was from someone named Jason Cooper. He said to vote for his good friend Democrat Oliver Diaz for Supreme Court.  He also said that they were “going to make history on Tuesday voting for Obama and that we needed to finish the job by voting for the Democrat Oliver Diaz.  Again, please vote for Democrat Oliver Diaz.”

Any more info on these calls?

Didn’t something like what samrhall is claiming happen in the 2007 Democratic Primary for State Auditor?

This evening, at my Biloxi home, I got a robo call from Obama himself asking me to support Ronnie Musgrove. Call came from 202-495-7115. When I returned the call I got a message saying the number was out of service but I could press “1” if I wanted to be removed from the call list. All very puzzling as I vote, work and contribute to Republicans only...ALWAYS!

SlidingW as a fellow South Mississippian I just confirmed with my wife we received a similar call from Obama in support of Musgrove.

I just put out 50 Wicker signs along the road to one of the precints.  If I would have known Obama was helping Wicker I’d have just stayed home and mixed a drink.

Wow if I ever run for something I’d love to be so lucky to have big O campainging for my opponent.

If McCain gets elected, it will be through divine intervention. The ONG (Obama Network Group) would have you believe the election is a done deal, no need for conservatives to waste our time voting.
You will notice that no one from ONG has sought to dispel the notion that gas will be free and that welfare checks will now include a mortgage supplement! Vote your convictions today and America will be safe.
