Tom Cramer, a member of the MS Gulf Coast 912 Project (the Coast's Tea Party affiliate), is working to qualify for a run for the U.S. Senate. Cramer is collecting the 1,000 signatures necessary to run as what is being termed as a "conservative Independent."

If he is successful, Cramer would face current U.S. Senator Roger Wicker in the general election in November 2012.
