HB 283 authored by Rep. Miles would appropriate funds to the Department of Public Safety and the Division of the Mississippi Highway Safety Patrol for a 60 member highway patrol trooper training class during FY 2019. This is important because according to MHP they are not meeting capacity for troopers on the roads, and have many more eligible for retirement in the next few years.

House Bill 283
