After announcing today that Judge Kenny Griffis will replace Judge Waller on the Mississippi Supreme Court, Governor Bryant appointed Representative Cory T. Wilson to the Court of Appeals.

Wilson is the Representative for District 73, part of Madison County. The lifelong conservative Republican was elected in 2015. He is a native of Moss Point. Wilson graduated from Moss Point High School in 1988 and went on to graduate summa cum laude in Economics from the Ole Miss School of Business in 1992. He received a law degree from the Yale Law School in 1995.

From 2008 until 2011 he served as the Chief of Staff for Secretary of State Delbert Hosemann before returning to private practice. In 2014-2015 he also served as Senior Advisor and Counsel to Mississippi Treasurer Lynn Fitch, while maintaining his law practice on a part-time basis.
