Monday night, President Donald Trump sent out several tweets praising Republican members of Congress and putting his support behind them. One of those individuals included Mississippi’s U.S. Senator Cindy Hyde-Smith.

The President commended her support of the Military and Veterans, as well as her tough stance on crime and protection of the Second Amendment.

Hyde-Smith has been supportive and on board with the Trump administration agenda since being elected back in 2018. Just last week, she objected to the rush passage of two election security bills following Mueller’s testimony.

The objection won’t kill the bills, but it will but have to go through the normal committee process in the GOP controlled Senate.
