Oktibbeha County Supervisor Bricklee Miller confirms that she will be a candidate in the upcoming special election to replace MS Senate District 15 retiring Senator Gary Jackson.

Miller stated, “I’m running for State Senate to make a difference for every corner of the district and the state as a whole. Our district needs a strong voice with a proven ability to get things done. I’ll fight for the same conservative principles at the capitol as I fought for on the Board of Supervisors, and I’ll work tirelessly to make sure the unique needs of our district get the attention they deserve. I sincerely ask the voters of Senate District
15 for their trust and vote.”

Miller, who is in her second term as Supervisor, was the first woman ever elected Supervisor in Oktibbeha County. In addition to her responsibilities as an elected official, October, 2020, will mark her 20th year as Director of the MS Horse Park.

She currently serves as a Republican supervisor, but the special election will be non-partisan.  SD 15 covers four counties and includes Starkville, Eupora and Winona.
