Lieutenant Governor Delbert Hosemann announced his support today for Bricklee Miller’s candidacy for Senate in District 15 in the September 22nd Special Election. The election is to fill the vacancy left by former State Senator Gary Jackson’s resignation.
“Bricklee’s experience in agriculture, administration, county government, and with universities will be a welcome asset in the Mississippi Senate. We are looking forward to working with her,” said Lieutenant Governor Hosemann.
“I’m proud of this endorsement, because I know that by working well with the Lieutenant Governor, I can help get a lot accomplished for District 15 and all of Mississippi. In politics, relationships matter. I look forward to calling Lieutenant Governor Hosemann a colleague, and I’m even more excited to bring meaningful results to our district for Choctaw, Montgomery, Oktibbeha, and Webster counties.”
Bricklee Miller has served and been involved in many statewide and community organizations, such as the American Quarter Horse Association, Greater Starkville Development Partnership, Mississippi Cattlemen’s Association, National Rifle Association, Mississippi Association of Supervisors, Mississippi Women for Agriculture, and others. For 20 years she has been the Director of the Mississippi Horse Park in Starkville, an award-winning facility and driver of regional tourism and economic development.
Lieutenant Governor Delbert Hosemann has served in state government since 2008, when he was elected Secretary of State. Since taking office as Lieutenant Governor in January 2020, Hosemann has focused on economic growth, public education, and building Mississippi’s infrastructure.
