Nutt has said that he won’t unveil his 3-QB plan until Masoli receives clearance from the NCAA.
It could be that Nutt will use Stanley in more of a traditional package (a la Jevan Snead), Mackey in more of a Wild Rebel package (a la Dexter McCluster) and Masoli in a hybrid of the two.
Of course, it’s also possible that Nutt makes a mess of things.
Last year the Rebels struggled early in the season while Nutt leaned heavily on a quickly-regressing Snead. When he finally made McCluster the focus of the offense, that unit clicked much more efficiently.
