AG Hood seeking insider info on Gulf Coast Claims Facility

JACKSON, MS (WLOX) – Attorney General Jim Hood is applauding a federal judge’s order that Gulf Coast Claims Administrator Ken Feinberg stop saying he’s working independently of BP.

The oil giant paid $20 billion into a compensation fund for Gulf oil spill victims. The Gulf Coast Claims Facility (GCCF) has been accepting applications and issuing checks to those who’ve been able to prove they suffered financial losses from the Gulf oil spill. But many people have complained that the process isn’t fair, and the money isn’t getting to those who need it most.
