Alabama wide receiver Mike McCoy not bothered by questions about Julio Jones

TUSCALOOSA — The media’s first question for Alabama’s top returning receiver was about freshman Julio Jones. The second was, too.
In all, seven of the first nine topics lobbed at Crimson Tide junior Mike McCoy dealt with Foley’s famous Jones, who will make his long-awaited collegiate debut at 7 p.m. Saturday against ninth-ranked Clemson in Atlanta’s Georgia Dome.

As for McCoy?
“It doesn’t bother me at all,” he said. “I’m motivated anyway. Whether he came here or not, I would still be in the same position.
I’m still hungry, and I still have a lot to prove.”
McCoy enters the 2008 season listed as Alabama’s starter at two receiver positions and a regular on basically every special teams unit. He’s opposite Jones in normal offensive sets, and when the Crimson Tide goes with three receivers, he expects to be in the slot position, rarely leaving the field.
