Auburn could be stacked at receiver

“DeAngelo Benton is another one I need to throw in there,” Malzahn said. “High expectations (for him). He and Emory are the two guys we really want to step up.”

But is there room for both Benton and Blake in addition to Adams and Zachery? There are, after all, only so many catches to go around.

“I’ve never been a guy that likes to rotate a bunch of guys because I like the rhythm of that quarterback and that receiver,” said receivers coach Trooper Taylor.

Adams worked to gain the trust of former quarterback Chris Todd. With a new quarterback on board — likely junior college transfer Cam Newton — the slate is clean for newcomers.
