AUBURN — While Camp Tuberville is in lockdown, Auburn’s offense is apparently surging.
With two new coordinators installing schemes and a slew of young players fighting for jobs, Auburn shut down access to the team’s first preseason scrimmage Saturday and instituted post-practice media policies that reflect a secrecy level rarely seen in head coach Tommy Tuberville’s 10 years on the Plains.
Tuberville said the offense fared slightly better in the 100-snap scrimmage at Jordan-Hare Stadium, while the defense was plagued by poor tackling, especially late in the practice.
