Gov. Haley Barbour just returned from a trip to Nagoya, Japan, where he and a group of state officials, business leaders and utility company executives courted about 50 automotive suppliers. Those efforts could well spread the Toyota euphoria in Pontotoc, Union and Lee counties to other communities across the state.

Those companies will provide the 20,000 parts needed for construction of the Toyota Highlander – which employees of the Blue Springs plant will begin assembling in 2010.
