Gov. Haley Barbour said he knows that he has enough supporters in Mississippi to get reelected, but cautioned people to actually vote Tuesday or election results may be surprising. He was in Jones County as part of his Get Out the Vote Bus Tour.
“The only chance the other guy’s got is if people stay home,” Barbour told a crowd of supporters and onlookers at the Jones County Courthouse in Laurel Wednesday. “We just can’t take for granted we’re going to keep growing like we’re growing. This election is important.”
“We are doing better. That doesn’t mean every problem is solved. We’ve got our budget back in shape without raising taxes.”
