Although Gov. Haley Barbour says he will probably propose a ?major tax cut? after the post-Hurricane Katrina economy stabilizes, it?s doubtful Mississippians will stop paying grocery taxes if he is re-elected.
Asked Wednesday at a Clarion-Ledger editorial board meeting whether he believes in taxing groceries, Barbour said, ?I do.?
