If U.S. District Judge Neal Biggers hears a plea by Sean Carothers over kickbacks for Mississippi’s failed beef plant today, he should keep in mind that taxpayers are waiting for justice to be done.

Biggers, to his credit, rejected a June 28 plea by the president of Carothers Construction Co., which built the Mississippi Beef Processors Inc. plant, as “too lenient.” He is scheduled to rehear the case at 1:30 p.m.
