On a personal level, Ole Miss vs. LSU was the biggest rivalry game for defensive end Kentrell Lockett. That’s because he grew up in Louisiana and has had to listen to Tigers fans jawing ever since he became a Rebel.
So while sitting next to Jerrell Powe during film study earlier this week, he knew exactly the emotions the junior from Waynesboro was feeling. Powe wasn’t shy about giving out some friendly pointers.
“Powe was like ‘I know him and he does this,’ and then ‘I played with him and he does this,'” Lockett said. “So I can imagine how big it is from those guys from the state of Mississippi. I can imagine all the talking they’re going to be doing.”
