Bill: Wine delivered straight to your front door

Mississippi residents could be able to stay in their home and get their favorite wine shipped directly to them if legislation passes.

House Bill 545, filed by Rep. Charles Busby, R-Pascagoula, would allow wine to be sold and shipped directly to residents if they are at least 21 years-old.

However, the Mississippi Department of Revenue, which controls alcohol and wine distribution in the state, doesn’t support the legislation. Similar measures in past years have died.
