Mississippi’s longest serving legislator state Senator Tommy Gollott, R-Biloxi, was presented the BIPEC Business and Jobs Champion certificate on
Thursday, December 12, 2013, by organization president Van White, for his efforts at passing legislation that boosted employment and aided existing industry.
Gollott, who has served in the Capitol for 46-years, said he considered the honor to be sort of an early Christmas present. Gollott is chairman of the Senate Environmental Protection, Conservation and Water Resources Committee.

“The (Gulf Coast) delegation has had a lot of success since we’ve been here,” Gollott said. “It’s good to get the recognition of by BIPEC for helping to create a lot of business in the state of Mississippi.”
