GAINESVILLE — After his team suffered another humiliating loss to its most important in-state rival, Florida State coach Bobby Bowden made it clear Saturday that he wouldn’t be back at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium to coach the Seminoles when they travel here again in 2011. More important, Bowden for the first time placed in doubt whether he’d return to FSU in 2010.
“Do I want to coach next year?” Bowden asked, repeating a reporter’s question after the 80-year-old watched FSU suffer a 37-10 loss against No. 1 Florida. “Yeah, I want to coach next year. Now let me say, I need to go home and do some soul searching.”
