Burns is AU’s starter again

True freshman Trotter may end up as Auburn’s No. 2
AUBURN – Kodi Burns will enter the West Virginia game as Auburn’s No. 1 quarterback.

Beyond that, plenty of questions linger.
Auburn coach Tommy Tuberville, in Birmingham for a Touchdown Club event Monday, said Burns would get another chance after starting last week’s game against Arkansas.
“Kodi’s our quarterback right now,” he told television station WBRC in Birmingham.

True freshman Barrett Trotter will get a tryout in practice this week. If he’s ready to go, he would likely be the next option after Burns. Tuberville has said that if coaches decide to remove Trotter’s redshirt, it won’t be for just a few plays.
