Lackey judge in Banks’ contest
The judge made famous for acting as an informant and helping send former trial lawyer Dickie Scriggs to prison in a corruption scandal has been appointed by the Mississippi Supreme Court to hear the elections contest filed by Karl Banks in the Madison County District 4 Supervisor race.
Retired Circuit Court Judge Henry Lackey of Calhoun City was appointed to the case by Supreme Court Chief Justice Bill Waller on Nov. 24.
