After pleading guilty to embezzlement, Adams County Circuit Clerk M.L. “Binkey” Vines can remain in office and run for re-election.
Vines pleaded guilty Friday to three counts of embezzlement. He was placed on “unsupervised good behavior” for one year and ordered to pay more than $40,000 in fees. The attorney general’s office dropped the other 10 charges of embezzlement he was facing.
