Blogger faces new charge over Cochran photos

Clayton Kelly faces a new felony charge of photographing someone without their consent over his allegedly photographing the bedridden wife of U.S. Sen. Thad Cochran in her nursing home and using the photos in a political hit piece.

Madison District Attorney Michael Guest said the charge was added Wednesday.

“It is a felony offense that carries a five year sentence,” Guest said. “It deals with photographing or filiming someone, without their permission, in a place where they have a reasonable expectation of privacy.”
