It’s as if the first-term Republican governor is getting to hit off a batting tee, thanks in large part to the rulings of U.S. District Judge Allen Pepper of the Northern District of Mississippi.

If Pepper’s ruling is equivalent to Barbour being given a hitting tee, then actions by various Democrats, including outgoing Secretary of State Eric Clark, could be compared to tossing Barbour slow, underhand pitches – the type that can easily be hit out of the park.
