Conversely, former Crimson Tide star and current Oakland Raiders rookie Rolando McClain declared he is holding the media hostage with threats of not speaking publicly until fans sell out a home game.
“If the fans come out and we can sell out a damn game, I’ll talk to the media,” McClain told The Associated Press. “Until then . . . I need full fan support.”
I can understand McClain being spoiled by Alabama fans. There are still not enough seats at Bryant-Denny Stadium after it was expanded from 92,132 to 101,821. But for a millionaire to ask people to fork over $36 for the cheapest seat to a Raiders home game is insensitive.
