Palazzo Strongly Supports $8B in Harvey Relief
Washington, DC – Congressman Steven Palazzo (MS-4) today supported passage of a nearly $8 billion aid package for victims of Hurricane Harvey.
“When disaster strikes our country, it is our duty in Congress to make sure those affected have what they need as quickly as possible. We lived this nightmare in South Mississippi during Hurricane Katrina, so we certainly understand just what the victims of Hurricane Harvey are feeling right now. The road to recovery will be long, but we will offer our full support to every degree possible.
“I strongly support today’s disaster relief for the victims of Hurricane Harvey — it is the right thing to do for those in need. Further, I applaud House leadership for passing a clean bill without loading it up with irrelevant legislation. Bills should stand or fail on their own, and Harvey relief is one bill I’m glad to see stand on its own.”
