GULFPORT, MS (WLOX) – A large crowd of supporters, staff, and constituents surrounded Congressman Steven Palazzo Monday as they cut the ribbon on his new district office in downtown Gulfport.
“I represent families, individuals and businesses in South Mississippi. I want them to be able to come into the office, sit down with either me or one of our liaisons,” the republican congressman said. “Some people prefer e-mail or other technology, but if they want to come in see us eye to eye to talk about issues and concerns that’s what we’re here for.”
Congressman Palazzo said he plans to work three weeks in Washington and spend one week back in South Mississippi every month.
“When I’m home, I’ll be traveling the district. I’ll either be here in the office or out seeing people.”
