Wilson Endorsed by Mississippi Manufacturers PAC

The Mississippi Manufacturer’s Association (MMA) Political Action Committee has endorsed Republican Cory Wilson for Madison County’s House District 73. The endorsement for the new House seat is a significant show of early support by the voice of Mississippi industry at the Capitol.

“Cory is exactly the kind of leader Madison County and the state need in the Mississippi House,” said MMA President and CEO Jay Moon. “Cory knows how important it is to keep Mississippi’s economy growing, and his pro-business philosophy will support small business growth and job creation. We support Cory Wilson because he will be in a strong position to strengthen the current House majority and represent Madison County well.”

Moon also cited Wilson’s extensive background that includes an economics degree from the University of Mississippi Business School, a Yale law degree, and 15 years of private sector law practice.

“I am honored to have the endorsement of the Mississippi Manufacturers Association PAC, especially at the outset of the campaign,” stated Wilson. “Mississippi’s manufacturers are a vital part of Mississippi’s economy. I am proud to stand with members of the manufacturing community to grow Mississippi businesses and get government out of their way whenever possible.”

In addition to being endorsed by the Mississippi Manufacturers Association PAC, Cory Wilson has been endorsed by the Mississippi Association of REALTORS® Political Action Committee.

District 73 was shifted to Madison County during redistricting in 2012 to reflect Madison’s population growth. The district runs from County Line Road in west Ridgeland to Highway 22 and includes neighborhoods like Dinsmor, Lake Cavalier/Lake Lorman, Cypress Lake, Annandale, Ashbrooke, and Lake Caroline. District 73 also includes parts of Flora and the Deerfield area in Gluckstadt.
