ARLINGTON – Houston Nutt stands among his players in the tunnel before games, the coach in the navy Ole Miss jacket often sporting a playful expression that shows he’s just as eager as the kids wearing helmets.
Then he walks onto the field with them. But no one should call this walking. That wouldn’t quite give justice to the way Nutt moves, or to the way he coaches football.
“He’s always running,” said former NFL receiver Hart Lee Dykes, reminiscing about the days Nutt coached him at Oklahoma State. “It’s like he’s getting ready to play the game.”
