Jacksonians have lots of heat and light to share about crime in Jackson, if comments on clarionledger.com’s StoryChat is an indication.
Jackson officials – including Mayor Frank Melton and Police Chief Shirlene Anderson – should take heed.
If Jackson is to have effective crime-fighting, the public must be engaged. Melton has paid lip service to this idea, but has not been a great supporter of the crime summits that he once promoted. That should change.
