Day of madness a great argument for keeping NCAA Tournament as is

Consider all the conversations that will develop strictly as the product of the current, 64-team bracket:

• Third-seeded Georgetown and its lineup full of talent will have to explain another early flameout, this time an absolute debacle in which Ohio—seeded only ninth in the MAC Tournament before winning it—controlled the entire 40 minutes behind 55 points from the backcourt of Armon Bassett and D.J. Cooper.

“I think there are some good basketball teams out there, no question, regardless of conference. Obviously the teams that are in this tournament are in it for a reason,” Ohio coach John Groce said. “There’s just a lot of good teams out there, a lot of good players, a lot of good coaches.”
