Despite recession, prices to nation’s top games cost fans more than ever

The Big 12 Conference soon will be two football teams poorer, but it still commands the nation’s richest ticket prices.
Oklahoma’s game at Oklahoma State has a $125 face value, topping all others in The Oregonian’s survey of 2010 single-game ticket prices in the big six Bowl Championship Series conferences and Notre Dame. That’s up $25 from two years ago, the last time the Cowboys hosted the Sooners.
Texas vs. Oklahoma at the Cotton Bowl in Dallas, known as the Red River Shootout, carries a price of $110. Texas A&M at Texas is $100 — the first time the Longhorns have had a $100 ticket, much less two — as is Nebraska at Oklahoma State. Texas at Texas Tech rounds out the national top five at $98.
