Diaz waiting on McPhee to erupt

Defensive end Pernell McPhee, the first-year State defensive coordinator thought, was going to have a good first half of the season adjusting to a new scheme.

Four games into the season a glance at the statistics doesn’t necessarily reflect an impressive start. The senior has not recorded a sack, yet has three quarterback hurries and 2 1/2 tackles for loss.

Simply put, things aren’t on par with his five sacks and 12 tackles for loss from last season, his first at MSU after transferring from Itawamba Community College.
