Delhomme, despite his 2009 season, has had a pretty good career, so he’ll be a good mentor to whomever Holmgren and General Manager Tom Heckert decide to draft. That’s Delhomme’s upside in this situation.
Plus, if the Browns wait until the second or third round to take a quarterback, there’s less pressure to get the guy on the field immediately.
