MS-01: Solid performance make Nunnelee frontrunner

Rep. Travis Childers (D) was first elected to this conservative seat in northeastern Mississippi in a 2008 Special Election, a major upset in a district that would give McCain 62% of the vote that November. But after besting that same opponent in the 2008 General Election, Childers is going to be a top GOP target again this time. Their candidate seems to be better this time though: State Sen. Alan Nunelee (R) won the GOP Primary without a runoff, and he outraised Childers in Q2.
