The most popular television show in the country has a special guest tonight — Secretary of the Navy Ray Mabus, a former Mississippi governor, who has a cameo on “NCIS” at 7 p.m. on CBS.
“NCIS,” which stands for Naval Criminal Investigative Service, is set in Washington. It films in Los Angeles, where Mabus visited in October.
Mabus is the first Navy secretary to appear on the show in its 10-year run. In the episode “Child’s Play,” Mabus plays an agent who is part of the NCIS team that puts their Thanksgiving plans on hold when the death of a Marine leads them to a government think tank that employs child prodigies.
