Mississippi Attorney General Jim Hood has been officially anointed as one of the all the king’s men.
Last Thursday, U.S. District Court Judge William Aker, reports Jay Reeves in THE ASSOCIATED PRESS, ruled that Hood “wrongly conspired with prominent trial attorney Richard ‘Dickie’ Scruggs to skirt a court order in a case involving Hurricane Katrina insurance claims.”
It’s self-protective for Hood to fight this ruling. Reeves says, “In a news release Friday, Hood said he planned to file a motion asking Aker to ‘revise such uncalled for derogatory conclusions.'” In addition to possibly being finished politically, Hood may, like Eliot Spitzer and Marc Dann, be facing civil and criminal charges down the road.
