For better or worse, these are Houston Nutt’s Rebels

During the two-year tenure of coach Houston Nutt, Ole Miss has enjoyed more success than at any time since the 1960s.

And while Nutt certainly has received a chunk of the credit for leading the Rebels to 18 victories and back-to-back Cotton Bowl triumphs, there’s always been an undercurrent that former coach Ed Orgeron’s recruiting skills had much to do with the success.

But now it’s year three, and several of Orgeron’s recruits — like quarterback Jevan Snead, running back Dexter McCluster, defensive end Greg Hardy and receiver Shay Hodge — have moved on to the NFL.
