For champion Saints, ‘there’s no such thing as an ugly win’

Two games into defense of their Super Bowl title, the New Orleans Saints haven’t come close to matching the 93 points they racked up in their first two games last season. But they’re right on pace in the stat that counts. They’re 2-0.

“There’s no such thing as an ugly win,,” says Saints guard Carl Nicks. “Me personally, I felt like we’re a better team than we’ve showed the last couple of games. Yet we’re still 2-0 and capable of much more.”

The Saints, now facing a home game Sunday against the Atlanta Falcons, figure to be without all-purpose running back Reggie Bush. He suffered a right leg injury in the fourth quarter Monday night and is expected to miss several weeks.
