Court of Appeals Judge Jack Wilson has been endorsed in his campaign by former Mississippi Governor Haley Barbour. In a letter to Judge Wilson, Governor Barbour stated:

“With less than a month until Election Day on November 8th, I hope Mississippians will strongly consider the importance of the judicial races that will be on the ballot. I’m writing to offer my support and endorsement for your campaign.

Your service currently on the Mississippi Court of Appeals shows a strong work ethic, a dedication to fairness and a commitment to interpreting the law—without trying to legislate from the bench.

I also very much appreciate your efforts in the 2011 Mississippi legislative redistricting process to help ensure that state has fairly-drawn legislative districts.

As you know, having a fair legal climate was one of the top priorities during my eight years as Governor because it has such a big impact on job creation opportunities for Mississippians for years to come. That’s why I continue to be very interested in helping support conservatives in the judicial branch and I wish you the best in your campaign this year.”
