House Bill 1090 is also called the “Medicaid and Human Services Transparency and Fraud Prevention Act.”
But I’m not sure it will provide hope for anyone other than private vendors. However, the bill was passed in the Legislature and is expected to be signed by the governor.
I listened to some of the debate on the bill and asked myself if this is another one of the bills wasting taxpayers’ money. The bill states a private vendor or vendors can be hired to verify eligibility for Temporary Assistance for Needy Families and other welfare programs.
